On February 9th, 1936, prior to the general strike in Jaffa and Nablus, the Jaffa Iron works entered into an agreement with Mr. Mahrous to lease the required machines needed to build a well. As we see from earlier documents, Mr. Mahrous even leased the machines himself so that he could finish building the well wanted to create. The agreement lists out the parties, their obligations, the price, the length of the lease, and certain guarantees. The document is in English and Hebrew and contains all the conditions in both languages. Moreover, the document contains signatures of the first party, lessee, guarantor, witnesses and Palestinian Revenue Stamps.
